The Middleware Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, stability and continuous improvement of the organisation's global middleware platforms; including Axway CFT, Control-M, and IBM MQ; through operations support, automation and DevOps practices. The position involves troubleshooting, performance analysis, project collaboration and enhancing middleware services while working with international teams across the global IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide global production support across key middleware technologies, ensuring reliable and stable operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, problems, service requests, and changes with strong technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with development, project, and business teams to support project deliverables and technical requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, performance tuning, and operational best practices.
  • Conduct technical analysis to identify and address performance or stability issues in production platforms.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, testing, and compliance activities.
  • Enhance middleware platforms, develop self-service interfaces, and support strategic initiatives as a subject‑matter specialist.
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years' experience with Linux/Unix/Windows and middleware tools such as Axway CFT, Secure Transport, Sentinel, and IBM MQ.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g., OMI, ServiceNow, Geneos) and scripting languages like Java, Shell, Python, PowerShell, or Perl.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change management.
  • Exposure to container, automation, and DevOps‑related technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Elasticsearch, Rundeck, or Git.
  • Willingness to work shifts and participate in on‑call rotations, with a customer‑focused and collaborative mindset.
  • Added advantage: Experience with DevOps frameworks, Control‑M certification, IBM MQ expertise, or prior work in financial institutions.
