Job Summary

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing VSMC MES to drive production efficiency and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement MES solutions tailored to optimize production processes, streamline workflows, and enhance manufacturing productivity
• Continuously evaluate and improve MES capabilities to adapt to evolving production needs, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimizing operational disruptions
• Lead MES projects from initiation through completion by defining project scope, managing timelines, and delivering regular progress updates to stakeholders
• Monitor MES system performance proactively to identify and resolve potential issues, reducing unplanned downtime through preventive measures
• Perform regular maintenance on MES software and hardware, troubleshoot technical problems, and ensure systems operate at peak performance
• Collaborate with production and IT teams to identify MES improvement opportunities and implement enhancements aligned with long-term operational goals
• Utilize programming skills in C++, Java, C#, or Python to develop and optimize MES functionalities
• Apply expertise in SQL, data modeling, and database performance tuning in DB2 or Oracle environments to support MES data management
• Employ Unix/Linux and shell scripting skills to maintain and automate MES system operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience in MES system development, integration, and optimization within a semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, C#, or Python
• Experience with SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning in DB2 or Oracle databases
• Experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field of study or experience
