Job Summary
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing VSMC MES to drive production efficiency and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement MES solutions tailored to optimize production processes, streamline workflows, and enhance manufacturing productivity
- Continuously evaluate and improve MES capabilities to adapt to evolving production needs, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimizing operational disruptions
- Lead MES projects from initiation through completion by defining project scope, managing timelines, and delivering regular progress updates to stakeholders
- Monitor MES system performance proactively to identify and resolve potential issues, reducing unplanned downtime through preventive measures
- Perform regular maintenance on MES software and hardware, troubleshoot technical problems, and ensure systems operate at peak performance
- Collaborate with production and IT teams to identify MES improvement opportunities and implement enhancements aligned with long-term operational goals
- Utilize programming skills in C++, Java, C#, or Python to develop and optimize MES functionalities
- Apply expertise in SQL, data modeling, and database performance tuning in DB2 or Oracle environments to support MES data management
- Employ Unix/Linux and shell scripting skills to maintain and automate MES system operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Proven experience in MES system development, integration, and optimization within a semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, C#, or Python
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning in DB2 or Oracle databases
- Experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field of study or experience
