Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Sweeper Operator to safely operate sweeping vehicles and perform routine maintenance. Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Operate Mechanical Sweeper Vehicles: Safely and efficiently operate mechanical sweeping vehicles on roads, car parks, industrial areas, and public spaces. Conduct routine route-based sweeping in accordance with schedules.
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Reporting: Perform basic daily maintenance checks and cleaning of the sweeper vehicle. Report any vehicle malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety issues promptly to the supervisor.
3. Adherence to Safety & Regulations: Ensure compliance with all traffic rules, workplace safety, and health (WSH) regulations. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
4. Documentation & Logs: Maintain accurate records of sweeping activities, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents encountered during operations.
5. Support Ground Cleaning Crew: Coordinate with ground cleaning teams to ensure comprehensive cleaning of assigned areas. May assist with minor manual cleaning duties when required.
6. Customer & Public Interaction: Maintain a courteous and professional demeanour when dealing with the public or clients in the course of duties.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification: Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) or equivalent.
• Driving Licence: A Valid Singapore Class 4 driving licence is required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in operating heavy vehicles or mechanical sweepers is preferred. Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance is an advantage.
• Skills: Ability to follow schedules and routes independently. Good awareness of road safety and traffic conditions. Basic understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
• Others: Physically fit to work in outdoor environments. Willing to work on weekends and public holidays. Able to communicate in basic English and/or local languages for work-related communication.
