Job description
Job Description:
  • Product Transfer: Execute engineering activities for the transfer of exact manufacturing setups, assembly processes, and qualification/acceptance test processes from global sites (Goettingen, Boulder, Hamble) to ESG for Hermes and Artemis projects, under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.
  • Engineering Documentation Transfer: Receive and analyze incoming engineering technical datapacks for existing products (Hermes and Artemis) and generate BOMs, drawing revisions, and related documentation.
  • Production Support & Troubleshooting: Provide engineering support to SEMI/laser production lines for Hermes and Artemis projects. This includes designing and fabricating assembly and test jigs/fixtures, troubleshooting product failures, performing root-cause analyses, and resolving issues that affect order fulfillment.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Support NPI projects for new SEMI/laser products developed locally and globally (Goettingen, Boulder, Hamble) by accurately and efficiently transferring all engineering collateral, technical datapacks, BOMs, CAD/detailed drawings from source sites to ESG data repositories such as SAP and SharePoint.
  • Tolerance Analysis: Conduct tolerance analyses of components and assemblies using GD&T and stack-up tolerance methods, as requested by the Engineering Manager.
  • Project Support: Assist in planned project tasks, organize design reviews (PDR & CDR), perform DFMEA/PFMEA risk analyses, and support other activities assigned by the Project Manager or Engineering Manager.
  • Safety and Environmental Assessment (SEA): Participate in SEA and other important/milestone project meetings as required.
  • QEHS/Customer Compliance: Support project activities to ensure compliance with internal QEHS policies/procedures (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, AS9100D) and customer QLTCS requirements. Participate in internal/external audits and implement or update procedures to maintain full compliance.
  • Cross-functional Technical Support: Provide technical support to Process Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and external suppliers for product specifications, technical drawings, and product-related issues.
