The Mission

As our Operations Manager, you will be the engine of our daily business. You will oversee the entire journey of our product—from sourcing ingredients to delivering the final bowl or catering spread. Your mission is to build efficient, scalable, and quality‑obsessed processes that allow our chefs to shine and our customers to experience consistent excellence. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in a food production environment and is passionate about building a beloved brand from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen & Production Leadership:

  • Own the daily production schedule for meal plan subscriptions, wholesale orders, and catering events, ensuring optimal kitchen workflow.

  • Manage inventory of all food, packaging, and supplies, implementing a reliable ordering and par‑level system to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

  • Uphold and elevate stringent standards for food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all health department regulations (WSQ certification a major plus).

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to optimize recipes for production scalability and cost‑effectiveness without compromising quality.

Logistics & Fulfillment Excellence:

  • Design and manage the fulfillment process for weekly meal plan subscriptions, ensuring accurate, timely, and temperature‑controlled delivery/pick‑up.

  • Plan and execute the logistics for catering events, including staffing, equipment transportation, on‑site setup, and breakdown.

  • Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and delivery partners.

  • Continuously optimize delivery routes and methods to enhance customer experience and control costs.

Team Management & Culture:

  • Lead, schedule, and train a team of kitchen assistants, packers, and drivers, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and pride in the product.

  • Develop clear SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all operational tasks.

Business Operations & Growth Support:

  • Monitor and analyze key operational metrics (food cost, labor cost, waste, on‑time delivery).

  • Assist in forecasting demand and planning for seasonal menus and business growth.

  • Manage operational budgets and contribute to strategic planning for scaling the business.

  • Serve as a problem‑solving leader, proactively addressing any operational hurdles.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

You Must Have:

  • Experiencein operations management, preferably within a food production, meal kit, catering, or fast‑casual restaurant environment.

  • Proven expertise in kitchen management, inventory control, and food safety

  • Strong logistical acumen with experience in managing delivery/distribution

  • Excellent leadership skills with experience hiring, training, and motivating hourly teams.

  • A data‑driven mindset with proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel) and the ability to analyze costs and efficiency.

  • Outstanding organizational and problem‑solving skills; you thrive under pressure and can pivot quickly.
