1. Role Description
The Marketing & Communications Trainee will support Asia Mattelab’s brand-building, digital marketing, and communication efforts. This role focuses on planning and executing LinkedIn content, updating website materials, designing marketing collaterals, and assisting with email campaigns. The trainee will also support tender monitoring and light administrative tasks as needed. The attachment offers hands‑on experience in B2B marketing within the scientific equipment industry, with exposure to digital tools, SEO, marketing operations, and tender systems.
2. Specific Responsibilities
Marketing & Digital Content (Primary Responsibilities)
- Plan, create, and schedule LinkedIn posts to enhance brand visibility.
- Develop monthly content calendars and prepare captions aligned with brand messaging.
- Update website product pages, implement SEO best practices, and coordinate with developers on technical updates.
- Design marketing collaterals such as catalogues, brochures, product sheets, banners, and graphics using Canva/Adobe tools.
- Prepare and execute email campaigns (Hubspot), including segmentation, content creation, scheduling, and analytics reporting.
- Support the sales team by preparing and maintaining updated marketing materials and product information.
Tender Monitoring & Administrative Support (Secondary Responsibilities)
- Check Ariba and GeBIZ tender portals daily to identify relevant business opportunities.
- Extract and log tender details such as deadlines, requirements, and interpretation notes for sales follow‑up.
- Maintain tender opportunity logs and alert sales team of relevant opportunities promptly.
- Assist with basic administrative duties, event coordination, and documentation management as required.
3. Competencies to Be Developed
Social Media & Content Planning
- Ability to create and schedule LinkedIn posts independently.
- Skills in content planning, writing captions, preparing visual assets, analysing post performance, and improving engagement.
Website Management & SEO
- Competence in keyword research, metadata optimisation, on‑page SEO, and updating website content according to SEO guidelines.
- Understanding how to coordinate with developers for structural improvements.
Marketing Collateral Design
- Ability to design polished catalogues, brochures, product sheets, and banners using Canva/Adobe.
- Understanding of branding and layout consistency.
Email Marketing
- Skills in preparing, sending, and monitoring email campaigns.
- Ability to segment mailing lists, analyse reports, and optimise future campaigns based on engagement metrics.
Tender Literacy (Ariba / GeBIZ)
- Ability to search tenders, interpret requirements, track deadlines, and record relevant opportunities.
- Competence in notifying the sales team systematically and maintaining a tender log.
4. Duration of Attachment Offered
The attachment will be offered for 6 months, with the possibility of conversion to a full‑time role based on performance and business needs.
