As a Group Account Manager, you lead the growth of your customer account group. You partner with Key Account Managers (both in Singapore, Malaysia) to meet and exceed business targets.
You also partner with customers to provide and manage indirect material supply chain solutions for their businesses and supply chain objectives. The opportunity involves a mix of managing the current businesses and finding new ones within your customer accounts. Your knowledge on supply chain combined with your communication skills, relationship building skills, entrepreneurship, influencing and analytical abilities shape how your existing and new businesses grow.
- Establish strategic directions to drive revenue and margin growth within the vertical, meeting and exceeding all business measures such as EBIT and working capital, with a key focus on Singapore and Malaysia market.
- Develop and deliver Key Account Management Plans to improve short-term and long-term EBIT and working capital.
- Own, monitor and drive customer’s service agreements to meet and exceed contractual performance KPIs such as cost saving obligations.
- Be accountable for the smooth daily operations and updated selling prices associated with your customers.
- Identify and secure new opportunities within your customer accounts.
- Maintain and expand relationships with customers, establish and develop communication plan with customers across all levels.
- Serve as customers’ escalation point for the market vertical and raise to attention of management as appropriate.
- Serve as a key point of contact of our key customers. Maintain and expand relationships with customers, establish corporate communication, develop communication plan with the key stakeholders.
- Be the ‘change agent’ who drives margin improvement projects and commercial outcomes for your customer accounts.
- Design an effective system to ensure your team provides accurate reports on existing and new business opportunities.
- Monitor programs, analyse data and trends, hold regular service performance and business reviews, and initiate improvements for the customer accounts.
- Manage and coordinate periodic business reviews (QBR’s) and operational performance improvement programs.
- Partner with the internal teams to ensure world class customer service is achieved.
- Assess our current capabilities and making business rationalizations on when to consolidate, upgrade or develop internal or external capabilities in order to maintain a premier position with the regional key customers and within the industry.
- Develop and implement sales policies and procedures, define plans that close current gaps and ensure compliance.
- Provide direction and support to in-country Key Account Managers (in Singapore and Malaysia) to execute strategic account plan.
- Create an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork and collaboration, both internally and externally.
- Effectively manage, motivate, and develop team members, and build your team's capabilities.
- Support any adhoc projects where required or as assigned by Company's management.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- Proven track-record of managing key accounts, providing outstanding supply chain consultation and customer service to customers.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines.
- Understanding of financial concepts such as EBIT and working capital
- Customer & Solution Focused.
- Excellent in implementing initiatives or projects, accountable for results.
- Ability to lead by examples and to motivate team.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team, strong people management experience with demonstrated cross-group leadership.
