Job description
The Position

The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore’s Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand. This programme is jointly supported by the Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Workforce Advancement Federation (WAF).

The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with Roche.

The Opportunity
  • Task Management: Complete tasks such as preparing equipment, cleaning, sterilizing, solution preparation, equipment operation, raw material sampling, and environmental monitoring, while maintaining housekeeping and adhering to Safety, cGMP, and Biochemical Manufacturing guidelines.

  • Support Department Goals: Collaborate effectively within the Biochemical Manufacturing Department to meet objectives.

  • Troubleshooting and Process Improvement: Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and support continuous improvement efforts.

  • Process Control System: Gain operating knowledge of the Process Control System (PCS) to execute manufacturing operations.

  • Safety and Security Compliance: Adhere to RSTO’s Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements, avoid risks, report accidents, and follow site security measures.

  • Communication and Coordination: Participate in staff and shift change meetings, working closely with other shift personnel and support groups.

  • Decision Making and Lean Production: Work under limited supervision, make decisions within established policies, and embody PT Lean Production System (LPS) principles for continuous improvement.

Safety, Health & Environment:

  • Comply with all RSTO’s Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements, never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace accidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable.

  • Observe all RSTO’s site security measures at all times, and report any suspicious characters/objects & damaged security mechanisms to Site Security immediately.

Lean Production System:

  • Embody PT Lean Production System (LPS), while demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and behaviors through the use and application of LPS tools for continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are

  • BS/BA in Science, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or a relevant discipline.

  • Seeking candidates with strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated track record of taking initiative, resolving problems, recommending and implementing process improvement.

  • Must work collaboratively and effectively to foster effective interdepartmental and cross-functional partnerships.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and quality oriented.

  • Ability to work under pressure, assert oneself, fast decision making skills and high flexibility.
