What the role is:

Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals through comprehensive and integrated programmes and works closely with partners in the veterinary and animal‑related industries to strengthen capacities and enhance competencies in animal health and welfare. It is the main touch‑point on animal and veterinary matters in Singapore and the first responder for all animal‑related feedback. It also conducts public education and engagement programmes to foster a society, where pet owners, communities, and animals co‑exist in our City in Nature.

The Wildlife Management Division in Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) Cluster manages wildlife in Singapore and engages the community on human‑wildlife encounters in our City in Nature.

What you will be working on:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Wildlife Management and Outreach team. This role encompasses comprehensive wildlife management responsibilities, from conducting field assessments to implementing population control measures such as sterilisation programmes. The successful candidate will handle stakeholder engagement, resolve wildlife‑related incidents, and manage public feedback cases.

You will be coordinating with different stakeholder groups and wildlife management contractors, conducting robust data analysis, and contributing to evidence‑based management strategies. The role also extends to supporting public education initiatives and outreach programmes.

What we are looking for:
  • Area of studies in Biological or Environmental Science or related discipline
  • Experience in wildlife management (particularly long‑tailed macaques), operations, research analysis and public engagement would be an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Well‑organised with good multi‑tasking abilities
  • Adaptable and resourceful in handling diverse responsibilities
  • Comfortable working outdoors
  • Willing to work weekends and after office hours
  • Demonstrates strong commitment to punctuality and operational schedules
