Manager/Senior Manager, Legacy Gift Officer

About Our Office

The Development Office at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is responsible for securing philanthropic contributions that support the University’s mission and long-term priorities. We are seeking a Legacy Gift Officer to join our team.

Main Areas of Work
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote and secure legacy gifts.
  • Serve as the point of contact for legacy gift enquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Work with donors and their trusted advisors (e.g., lawyers, financial planners, executors, accountants) on acceptance of legacy gifts.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors through regular communication, engagement, and stewardship.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Development Office and other NUS units to coordinate legacy gift activities and acceptance.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, enquiries, and gift commitments using the University’s CRM system.
  • Prepare regular reports on activities, outcomes, and insights.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a marketing or sales role, especially in roles requiring relationship management, advisory interaction, or responding to client enquiries.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport, communicate empathetically, and represent the University professionally.
  • A self-starter who is adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fluid, evolving environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in workplace productivity software/tools
