Job description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage a portfolio of NPL for both Commercial Banking and Global Banking.
  • Formulate and execute workout and recovery strategies on distressed accounts.
  • Independently represent the Bank in multi-bank workouts and meetings with stakeholders, including customers, lawyers, and financial advisors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with various parties involved in the process.
  • Proactively lead recovery efforts and legal actions on non-performing loans (NPL).
  • Oversee restructuring, enforcement, and bankruptcy processes in Singapore and foreign jurisdictions as needed.
  • Conduct post-mortem reviews to identify credit and operational risks.
  • Share insights and lessons learned with internal teams through briefings.
  • Assist in the prompt identification of early warning signs for corporate accounts and provide advice on risk mitigation for higher-risk accounts.
  • Support relevant management, audit, regulatory inquiries, and reporting.
  • Assist the Remedial team on relevant or ad-hoc projects.

Job Requirements
  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Accountancy, Business, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of banking experience in credit and corporate account management, including at least 5 years in managing corporate non-performing loans (NPL), restructuring, and recovery.
  • Experience with cases in foreign jurisdictions is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders, including corporate customers, lenders, financial advisors, lawyers, liquidators, and judicial managers.
  • Strong knowledge of insolvency laws and practices, along with a solid understanding of banking products and services.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; a team player who can work well with the Remedial team, Business Units, and other stakeholders.
  • Hardworking with a persistent and can‑do attitude; takes proactive action and has an agile/flexible mindset to explore alternatives to resolve problems.
  • Results‑driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
