Job description
About the team you are joining

At IATA, we speak for the airlines of the world, serving and supporting over 300 of them across all continents. We are passionate and knowledgeable about the aviation industry, and we strive to make it safer, smarter, more sustainable, and more inclusive. The Slots, Infrastructure & Customer Experience Team is dedicated to improving infrastructure and customer experience by working closely with airports, ANSPs, member airlines, and other stakeholders to drive efficiency improvements and reduce costs.

Airlines are required to pay for access to airport facilities and air traffic control (ATC) services. Because many airport and ATC providers operate with limited competitive pressure, individual airlines often face challenges in evaluating whether proposed charges are equitable and aligned with the quality of infrastructure and service delivered. IATA’s role is to represent, lead and serve our members in this area. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Airport & ANSP Charges

What your day would be like

You will also directly oversee campaign management with designated airports and ANSPs, working closely with country offices and advocacy teams in addition to working on global topics with the broader team.

You will be based in Singapore. You will work with our global team in seven strategic locations, developing skills as a global subject matter expert.

  • Actively lead selected airport and/or ATC charges campaign activities elaborating submissions with well-justified arguments, and advocating with relevant authorities.
  • Work as part of a team to review and challenge airports and ANSP proposals, performing financial analysis, reviews for compliance with national regulation and ICAO/IATA policy.
  • Use consultation data and other IATA data to perform analysis and prepare individual submissions and add to IATA’s broader dataset including supporting current and future commercial initiatives.
  • Work closely with member airlines and IATA internal teams (notably airport development, ATM and charges experts) to implement agreed strategies and priorities for engagement on charges and infrastructure development.
  • Contribute to learning and knowledge sharing within IATA and with our members and development of global guidance material and positions.
  • Use global team tools to capture plans, progress, and results for the benefit of our members and IATA management.
  • Collect intelligence and maintain global datasets for the region.
