Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Assistant Engineer to support our maintenance team in ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who is eager to learn and grow within a maintenance engineering environment. The Assistant Engineer will assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in routine maintenance tasks and repairs on equipment
• Perform in house repair of Electro optics equipment
• Aid in diagnosing and addressing minor issues promptly to reduce downtime
• Help carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition
• Record maintenance activities accurately, including repairs, replacements, and inspections, under the guidance of senior engineers
• Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations; actively maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in managing spare parts inventory, notifying senior staff of low stock and needed reorders
• Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to complete tasks and support the overall maintenance strategy

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechatronic or Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex systems
• Able to adapt and work under tight schedule
• Able to communicate effectively with customers
• Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions
• Basic IT experience is preferred
• Possess class 3 driving license
• 24 X 7 standby and needs to be on site
• Singaporeans only
• Work location: Ang Mo Kio
• 1 year agency contract
• Only Singaporean
