Job summary

A leading maintenance and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled individual to lead the Maintenance Department. The role includes managing plant processing equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, and driving safety compliance. Candidates should have at least a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Fire Safety Manager certification is a plus.

Job description
A. Plant, Equipment & Facilities Maintenance
  • Lead the Maintenance Department, managing all aspects of plant processing equipment.
  • Conduct condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure mechanical reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and address machine breakdowns.
B. Housekeeping & Safety
  • Enforce Company Health & Safety policies, ensuring compliance across maintenance activities.
  • Supervise safety measures for contractors and maintain cleanliness in machinery spaces.
  • Conduct safety training and manage environmental hazard prevention strategies.
C. Process Equipment Improvement
  • Analyse work methods and machine functionality to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage maintenance schedules, ensuring timely execution of repairs and upgrades.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management, offering insights and recommendations.
D. Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate equipment documentation and performance data.
  • Participate in plant expansion projects and assist with additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Min. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in plant, equipment & facilities maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Possess good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in the mechanical engineering field and hands on experience.
  • Fire Safety Manager certification will be added advantage.
  • Project management skills will be added advantage
