A leading manufacturer of advanced materials in Singapore is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage daily operational logistics and coordinate with production units. The ideal candidate will have a degree in logistics or supply chain management and at least 5 years of experience in logistics coordination within a chemical manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of transport regulations and effective communication skills are essential. This role is focused on ensuring the timely and safe handling of shipments and improving logistics processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics coordination in a chemical manufacturing company.
  • Proven experience in fleet management and logistics coordination.
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) transport handling.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Objectives:

Broaden knowledge on the involvement between site operations and commercial aspects and have an exposure to supply chain and related activities at a production site. Gain the exposure to working with multiple levels in the organization across functions and external parties.

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operational activities and order scheduling between production units, and 3rd party service provider(s).
  • Ensure the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
  • Review, prepare, and route purchase orders in SAP and Logistics tool.
  • Address and resolve shipment and foreseeable inventory issues.
  • Monitor land and sea shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
  • Contribute to 3rd party performance management reviews, monitor performance KPIs to boost continuous performance improvement.
  • To validate and process invoices for Supply Chain’s suppliers.
  • Performing goods receipt for monthly fixed/non-fixed charges.
  • Prepare monthly closing report.
  • Assist the Supply Chain team with ad-hoc logistics operations / troubleshoot activities.
EDUCATION/ SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant field;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics co-ordination a chemical manufacturing company;
  • Proven experience in fleet management and / or logistics coordination;
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations and fleet maintenance;
  • Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office and some knowledge on logistics software;
  • Knowledge of end-to-end logistics operations (including ocean, over-the-road transportation, rail, customs and warehousing;
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) transport handling;
  • Working knowledge of legal regulations and ISO requirements.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills manage diverse group of stakeholders
  • Ability work under pressure to resolve issues promptly.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good management and organizational skills.
