About the Role

We are an established wholesale distribution business. For more than 3 decades, we supply essential food products including rice, eggs, cooking oil, and other dried goods across Singapore.

As we scale, we are looking to hire a hands‑on Logistics & Operations Manager to build reporting structures, improve operational visibility, and ensure product quality across our supply chain.

This role will act as a bridge between the GM and daily operations, working closely with procurement, warehouse, sales, logistics, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reporting & Performance Metrics
    • Design and implement daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
    • Track key metrics including:
      • Inventory levels & turnover
      • Sales vs stock movement
      • Shrinkage, wastage, and damages
      • Order fulfillment accuracy
      • Supplier performance
      • Quality control, sampling
    • Consolidate data from different departments into clear management reports for the GM
    • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and operational risks using data and set up task force project groups to improve issues
  2. Quality Control & Compliance
    • Conduct on‑ground quality checks for incoming and outgoing products
    • Monitor:
      • Product freshness, expiry dates, and packaging integrity
      • Storage conditions (temperature, hygiene, stacking)
    • Create and enforce basic quality control SOPs
    • Handle quality complaints and coordinate corrective actions
    • Liaise with suppliers on quality issues and improvements
  3. Cross‑Department Coordination
    • Act as a central link between warehouse, procurement, sales, logistics, accounts receivables and finance
    • Ensure information flows correctly and on time between teams
    • Follow up on pending actions, delays, and operational issues
    • Establish and maintain clear reporting lines and accountability
  4. Process Improvement & Structure
    • Document existing processes and recommend improvements
    • Help introduce structure where it does not exist
    • Support the GM in building middle‑management discipline
    • Assist in training staff on reporting, quality standards, and basic controls
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5–10 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or quality control
  • Fluent in conversational and written Mandarin and English
  • Experience in food distribution, FMCG, or wholesale trading preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Inventory management
    • Warehousing operations
    • Food quality standards
  • Comfortable working both in the office and on the ground (in the factory)
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (reporting is critical)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear communicator who can work with different teams and personalities & present daily/ monthly reports to management
