What role you will play on our team

We are seeking experienced candidates for LNG Trading Analysts to support our Global Gas and Power Analytics Trading teams.

Successful candidates will act as a key trading resource to drive opportunity identification & capture via understanding supply/demand balances, economics, arbitrage analysis, tracking of specific commodity movements, trade flow analysis, and blending opportunities. This includes linking with your fellow trading analysts across the globe and across commodities.

This role is located in Singapore.

What you will do

• Develop and present ongoing/unique trade strategies, connecting market fundamentals with proprietary insights, utilizing advanced analytics in conjunction with supply and demand models
• Provide market forecasts on fundamentals and price to aid the trading organization
• Provide economic analysis for opportunity evaluation and capture learnings from missed opportunities
• Support derivatives trading with analysis of new and existing usage of derivative instruments
• Develop strong collaborative relationships with key trading partners, both domestically and globally, to drive trade execution and value creation
• Act as a power‑user of strategic tools that support trading activities: data systems, bespoke analytical tools, Eikon, SAP
• Contribute to special projects, strategy studies, and market entries
• Support Trading Management on ad‑hoc business issues

About you

• Hold a BS, BBA in engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, business (or equivalent)
• Have minimum 5 years experience in analysis field in trading shops, banks, funds, etc
• Experience and knowledge of physical and paper markets in crude and products
• Experience and knowledge of derivatives, risk evaluation and management techniques, or financial analyses
• Have strong numerical, analytical and modelling skills
• Can forecast and assess impact of market changes and business decisions
• Can make recommendations based on analysis
• Can collaborate effectively with multi‑national and cross functional teams
• Demonstrated leadership paired with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in effective two‑way communication with internal and external customers (oral, written, presentation, listening)
• Strong drive, motivation and continuous improvement mindset
• Proficiency in computers, including programming skills across Python, R, SQL, Tableau and SAP programs
• Interested in pursuing a career in Trading analytics and commodity market analysis
