Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the company\'s governance and compliance programmes, focusing on the company\'s global business activities. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to formulate, implement, and maintain compliance and corporate policies and frameworks to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations. Enhance existing compliance processes, track regulatory developments, identify and escalate potential compliance risks to Management, and oversee appropriate resolution measures.
- Provide legal support to the company\'s business operations. This includes drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, developing legal templates to support project structuring, engaging with strategic partners and financiers, and managing external counsel engagements. Involvement in corporate secretarial and corporate governance matters.
- Support the Company Secretary in ensuring effective Board and Board Committee governance. This includes preparing and coordinating materials for Board and Board Committee meetings, drafting and circulating meeting minutes and Directors’ Resolutions in Writing, and maintaining statutory registers and corporate records.
Qualifications
- A recognised law degree, with a minimum of 4 years\' post-qualification experience, either in private practice or in-house.
- Qualification in Singapore or UK law preferred.
- Strong legal drafting skills and sound commercial judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is an advantage to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
