Job Description Summary

The Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer (Machining) will be responsible for CNC machining, EDM, and CMM processes for gas turbine component repairs. This role includes the implementation and qualification of new equipment and technologies, as well as driving continuous process improvement initiatives.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive machining process excellence to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.

  • Support operations by developing work instructions, training technicians, and troubleshooting issues in CNC machining and EDM.

  • Be responsible for selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment, tooling, and fixtures.

  • Qualify new equipment and new processes for engineering approval.

  • Develop and implement quality and productivity improvement programs for applicable products.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure an integrated and effective approach to business plans and strategies.

  • Maintain technical records of experiments and parametric studies, managing documented processes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining or related processes

  • Knowledge of gas turbine component repair is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with tooling selection, fixture design, CAD, CAM, and metrology.
