Job description

What the role is:

Lead Engineer/Engineer (POC Lead) is part of the HTSC Office in support of the various projects and initiatives related to the implementation of the HTSC. In particular, he/she is responsible for the delivery of Platform Operations Centre (POC) to meet the objectives and benefits envisioned for HTSC.

What you will be working on:

The job holder ensures implementation of HTSC’s POC. In particular, the job holder provides the technical expertise, ensures successful integration, and drives the implementation with stakeholders (data exploitation team and ops team) and integrated programme management teams (IPMT).

• Works with SAO, domain leads and IPMT to establish a scalable and future-proof system architecture for POC
• Track and work towards successful delivery of POC in terms of capabilities, schedule and budget
• Track risk assessment for project implementation and work on the appropriate mitigation strategies
• Works with IPMT to build POC and their corresponding Observe, Orient, Decide & Act (OODA) layers
• Identify telemetry requirements and build observability layers for pervasive monitoring of POC
• Work towards delivering a single pane of glass (consolidated dashboard) to highlight trends and anomalies, notwithstanding fleet maintenance activities, vehicle utilization, workload, cost expenditure and various KPIs
• Lead the IPMT in evaluating appropriate advance technology and tools to be implemented
• Lead the design of digital playbook capability for POC
• Assess and apply appropriate project management methodologies to ensure project success
• Work with respective data exploitation teams to identify and develop use cases
• Work with the data exploitation team to use data analytic tools (e.g. business intelligence platform, RPA tools) to monitor and track effectiveness of use cases
• Work with HTSC Operations Team to design new concept of ops for POC and eventually an Integrated HTSC
• Strategise the manpower and training requirements to support the operations for POC
• Track the outcome of manpower avoidance with the adoption of centralised ops approach

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or Computer Science discipline
• Between 5-10 years of relevant experience in the relevant domains of platform systems
• Positive attitude
• Highly motivated and independent
• Good in people management and interpersonal skills
• Confident with good judgement to handle different situations

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
