Job description
Responsibilities
  • Technical Assistance: Lead User / Client meetings acting as technical lead for Design / Build Team as required. (Irrespective of Mech or Arch or ELE).
  • Technically sound in designing for Local & International projects with standards, environmental codes, building codes and safety standards.
  • Ability to convey and coordinate complex technical issues to senior managers, Cost Manager, and Procurement Managers.
  • Team Development: Lead internal training to the team of Engineers/Architects.
  • Train for pre-sales engagement and ensure knowledge transfer of design methodology, cost modelling, etc. to employees.
  • Plan and arrange regular courses and seminars for the team.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Lead in organizing regular inter team briefings and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Conduct Lessons Learnt sessions for each project stage completion.
  • (Design – Build – Operate) and share the End-user / DC Operator’s feedback.
  • Resource Management: Lead each phase of the project from design to completion and ensure efficient use of resources and enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • International Exposure: Lead new business ventures overseas with the proactive approach to understand the country specific needs and standards.
  • Procurement Management: Generate Risk analysis report by checking the submitted risk analysis by the team for its consistency between tender and quotation specification.
  • Lead the review & manage supplemental material (Spec, DWG) for quotation.
  • Review BoQ (Material and quantity).
  • Review & Manage Value Engineering and technical review.
  • To negotiate with the regulatory agencies for building code and MEP change orders, when required.
  • Design Administration: Review design concepts and ensure high standards.
  • Confirm design requirement.
  • Analyze existing facilities.
  • Manage Conceptual sizing/design.
  • Lead the preparation of presentation material for tender interview.
  • Lead audit and consultancy services.
  • Leading or facilitating the design review meetings and design workshops.
  • Feasibility study preparation & Lead.
  • Assessment of mission critical building.
  • Concept & schematic design.
  • Summarize design requirement.

  • Detail design: Lead the drafters for shop drawing preparation.
  • Authority submission arrangement with QP.
  • Input for T&C requirement (prepare test script and ensure that the methodology is in line internally).
  • Design Coordination with other discipline.
  • Energy Efficiency, CFD & PUE Management: Lead Energy simulations to achieve Energy efficiency; Lead Internal CFD from the initial Design stage; Lead External CFD and work with the space planner for effective equipment positioning; Lead PUE calculations from the feasibility to the Handover stage.
  • Construction Administration: Project Management & Schedule Management with MS Project / Primavera P6.
  • Lead Project Management for new construction and D&B project in design phase working directly with clients, consultants, statutory authorities, and contractors.
  • To Lead review of construction material / shop drawing / MoS.
  • Shop drawing coordination with sub-con/vendor & other stakeholders.
  • Periodical inspection (internal check for quality improvement).
  • Ensure site installation works are according to project plans / designs / time frame.
  • Testing & Commissioning Administration: T&C consultation for FAT, SAT, and IST with Technical & Q&C department.
  • To Lead in the review and management of End-User requirements and Tagging systems.
  • BIM Management: Lead Handover submission arrangement with drafter team and project team (As built BIM Packages).
  • Lead the team working in Cloud, Design Collaboration and Model coordination and QA/QC own work.
  • AutoCAD & Revit management experience with Cloud Work-sharing (ACC).
  • Lead the Construction handover is in accordance with the project’s BEP (BIM Execution Plan).
  • Depending on project need, this position may be located On-Site or Off-Site and requires frequent travel to the project site.
  • Any other duties assigned by Manager / Assistant Manager / Senior Manager.
