Job description

We are looking for a Junior Trader (Non-Ferrous Metals) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play an active role in business development across Southeast Asia and beyond, while supporting global procurement activities in key markets such as the Americas and Europe.

The role also involves supporting operational and compliance functions such as KYC, trading limit management, trade documentation, and logistics/payment follow-up. As a Junior Trader, you will gain comprehensive experience across the trade cycle while contributing to the team's growth strategy in the non-ferrous metals business.

Responsibilities
  • Business development in Southeast>
  • Developing procurement in North & South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and other regions;
  • Assist in the department's daily futures position management, including handling customers' pricing requests, inputting futures position data, compiling statistics, and regularly reporting on the business line's futures exposure, positions, and customer pricing status;
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the customer admission system, including KYC entry, information maintenance, and updates;
  • Assist in managing trading limits, such as transaction limits, pricing limits, and advance payment limits;
  • Assist in handling various information collection and reporting projects, as well as managing trade nodes such as shipping schedules and payment/collection;
  • Complete other tasks assigned by department leaders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above; candidates with educational background in international trade, finance, economics, or science and engineering are preferred.
  • Familiarity with trade finance, UCP600, ISBP, and base/non-ferrous commodity trading is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in commodity trading; prior experience in non-ferrous products is an advantage.
  • Strong logical thinking, communication, time management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, efficient, diligent, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP and OA systems is preferred.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written Chinese and English in order to liaise with Chinese and English speaking stakeholders.
  • Operations with at least 2 years experiences in Base Metals Trading are welcome to apply.
