Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist focused on data and endpoint security. The candidate will oversee Endpoint Protection policies, manage security incidents, and ensure compliance with ITIL processes. They should possess over 8 years of IT Security experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. The position involves mentoring and collaboration across teams, and this role is offered on a yearly renewable contract basis.

About the job IT Security Specialist (Data Security and Endpoint Security)

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the final technical escalation point for Endpoint Security (Symantec SEP, SentinelOne, McAfee), Data Leak Prevention (DLP), and Encryption solutions, ensuring rapid resolution of critical incidents.
  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-wide Endpoint Protection policies, including antivirus, EDR, and threat response configurations.
  • Investigate data security incidents using forensic tools, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver actionable reports.
  • Lead technical transitions, upgrades, and migrations of security tools across global regions (Europe/Asia).
  • Automate repetitive tasks through scripting (Python/PowerShell) to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Enforce compliance with ITIL processes, banking regulations (e.g., anti-money laundering), and internal security standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new security projects, POCs, and vulnerability management initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and mentor junior team members on best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science (Computer Studies) or a related field.
  • 8+ years in IT Security, specializing in Endpoint Protection (Symantec SEP, Windows Defender, EDR tools).
  • Hands-on experience with DLP, encryption, and phishing prevention solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Analytical mindset for risk assessments and forensic investigations.
  • CISSP or Symantec SEPM certification (preferred).
