Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking an IT Support Specialist to maintain and troubleshoot hardware and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in IT and 1-3 years of experience in IT support. Responsibilities include user account management, monitoring IT security, and providing system support, with a salary range of $3300 - $3800. Job description

Job Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Support

  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware (PCs, printers, barcode scanners, etc.)
  • Support network infrastructure: LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi‑Fi
  • Ensure servers and data storage are running smoothly (file servers, domain controllers)

System Administration

  • Manage user accounts, email, Active Directory, file permissions
  • Monitor IT security (antivirus, firewalls, data protection policies)
  • Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place

Manufacturing/Production System Support

  • Provide technical support for MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), ERP, or factory‑specific systems
  • Troubleshoot machine‑PC communication issues (e.g., PLCs, IoT devices)
  • Ensure system uptime to minimize production downtime

Software & Application Support

  • Install, configure, and maintain standard and custom software
  • Provide technical support to end‑users
  • Liaise with software vendors for updates, bugs, or new implementations

IT Policies and Compliance

  • Implement and enforce IT policies, data protection, and access control
  • Support ISO/IEC 27001 or other relevant compliance needs if applicable

User Support & Training

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT‑related issues
  • Provide training or guidance to staff on using systems or software

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain IT asset inventory
  • Prepare incident reports, maintenance logs, and update manuals
  • Support audits and provide technical documentation
