Role Overview

The IT Director will lead global customer-facing technology initiatives and oversee the delivery of high-impact IT solutions across multiple markets. This role partners closely with market teams and external customers to understand business needs, develop the right IT capabilities, and ensure successful deployment of technology solutions. The position requires strong leadership, customer engagement, enterprise IT solutioning experience, and end-to-end project ownership.

Responsibilities
1. Customer & Market Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with market teams and customers to understand their strategic objectives and required IT capabilities.
  • Act as a trusted technology advisor, recommending suitable IT platforms, solutions, and services aligned with customer needs.
  • Support customer presentations, requirement discussions, and solution workshops.
2. Global IT Solutions Leadership
  • Lead teams responsible for analyzing, designing, configuring, and deploying IT solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
  • Oversee solution architectures, integration plans, and technology roadmaps across global environments.
  • Ensure IT deliverables meet performance, scalability, compliance, and security expectations.
3. Project & Stakeholder Management
  • Accountable for the execution and completion of key project milestones, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Manage customer and internal stakeholder commitments through clear communication, risk management, and status reporting.
  • Drive issue resolution, change control, and alignment across cross-functional teams.
4. Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop globally distributed IT teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team alignment with business priorities and customer commitments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • 12–15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in enterprise environments.
  • Experience in factory start-ups, large-scale project management, outsourcing management, and SAP ERP implementation.
  • Strong background in Industry 4.0, including big data, data analytics, automation, and smart factory initiatives.
  • Skilled in IT strategic planning, MES, factory automation, software development methodologies, and supply chain IT systems.
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, operations management, data architecture, data centre implementation, and enterprise IT landscape planning.
  • Proficient in business analytics, statistical modeling, and structured data analysis frameworks (e.g., CRISP).
  • Strong leadership in budgeting, customer service delivery, project governance, and overall IT portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated ability in talent development, including coaching, mentoring, and team retention.
