Job summary

A recruitment firm is seeking an Operational Analyst for a 6-month renewable contract role in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage new investment portfolio setups and liaise with service providers to ensure effective delivery of services. Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of financial markets and investment operations, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in SQL and Excel. This role is critical in maintaining strong relationships across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Salt is looking to hire an Operational Analyst for an investment management firm for 6‑months & renewable contract role. The team is the primary liaison to onboard the markets, currencies and standing instructions as needed by portfolio management as well as working with clients on the order and cash flow process.

Requirements:
  • Manage and ensure timely set up of new investment portfolio's Action portfolio change requests such as new markets, currencies or trade messaging updates
  • Follow established procedures and perform appropriate controls, while exercising good judgment in managing risk and following escalation procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external service provider relationships ensure successful delivery of contracted services, proactively address and problem solve, build and adapt service level standards and agreements to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Build and maintain close relationships and partnerships colleagues (Client Onboarding, Client Experience, Operational colleagues, Trading, Portfolio Management), as well as with external service providers and custodians.
  • Partner with colleagues to learn and add value within the Singapore team
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of financial markets and related instruments
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Investment Operations
  • Solid regulatory background and strong risk awareness proceeds of APAC markets regime knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving/analytical abilities, research skills and able used to a high tempo working style.
  • SQL/ Python Programming knowledge would be an advantage to help transform manual touch points and create efficiencies in the various workflows.
  • PC proficient with experience in Excel in particular Experience with Aladdin applications and workflows such as Dashboard, Trade Entry, Security Master would be desirable
