A leading design firm seeks an Interior Designer in Singapore with a Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years experience. The role involves collaboration on projects, space planning, and vendor coordination. Candidates must have hand sketching skills and communicate effectively, particularly with Mandarin-speaking clients. Attractive compensation and career development opportunities are available.
As an Interior Designer, you will work closely with senior staff to design and document the design, finishes, furniture and equipment for projects as well as work on visualizing spaces for internal and client review. In Aedas Interiors we believe that an Interior Designer must be someone who is creative, articulate, organized, and responsible with experience in both workplace and hospitality projects.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with team in the design conceptualization and development of the project through hand sketches, SketchUp or Revit models and Adobe Creative Suite tools
• Assisting the team with space planning and furniture layouts
• Selecting finishes for review and use in project
• Assisting with project presentation materials such as boards, books, PowerPoints, and 3D mockups
• Assist in sub-consultant coordination as it pertains to interior design to maintain the integrity of the design intent
• Developing and maintaining vendor relationships to develop sources for project materials
• Assembling information from vendors and entering information into specification forms
• Documenting finishes on construction documents and specifications
• Other responsibilities as assigned
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture Program
• Minimum 5 years of related experience working in a design studio in a similar position, preferably with a recognized award winning international interior design practice
• Will need to liaise with Chinese clients. Knowledge of Mandarin is essential
• Hand sketching skills
• Adobe InDesign (desirable)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
