Job summary

A multinational retail company in Singapore is looking for an HR Business Partner to support the growth of the business. You will be responsible for aligning staffing needs with business objectives, managing employee relations, and fostering a culture of inclusion. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in the HRBP role preferably in a retail environment, strong communication skills, and knowledge of Singapore’s labour regulations.

Qualifications

  • More than 5 years of HRBP experience, ideally in a multinational company or retail industry.
  • Strong communicative and stakeholder management skills.
  • Well-versed in labour regulations and practices in Singapore.

Overview

Your assignment
  • Build partnerships with functional managers and develop understanding of business needs to meet shared objectives and ambitions

  • Translate the overall people strategy into execution and tactics, ensuring alignment of staffing needs with business objectives and work closely with functional managers on talent acquisition and recruitment activities

  • Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, talent management, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, and recognition programs

  • Manage and resolve employee relations matters and ensuring equitable and pragmatic resolutions are achieved by exercising informed judgment

  • Foster a diverse and inclusive environment for every co-worker and be an advocate of IKEA Culture and Values

Your profile
  • More than 5 years of HRBP experience, ideally from a multinational company or retail industry

  • Embodies a strong sense of self and progress to become a trusted advisor for all co-workers

  • Strong communicative and stakeholder management skills

  • Inquisitive and able to partner managers to define new solutions and manage change

  • Ability to balance being strategic and hands-on, and knows how to collaborate and prioritize in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment

  • Well-versed in labour regulations and practices in Singapore and application of this knowledge

  • Genuinely interested in our business; have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and are a team player for whom it is natural to support on the floor when necessary

  • A retailer who appreciates the nature of the business and willing to embrace unconventional work schedules which includes working on weekends and public holidays
