Job summary

A leading marine solutions provider in Singapore is looking for an HSE Coordinator to manage safety documentation and ensure compliance with HSEQ standards. This role involves conducting audits, incident investigations, and preparing reports. Candidates should possess a Specialist Diploma in HSE or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in the Marine industry. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and has a strong understanding of ISM and ISPS codes, along with ISO auditing qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HSE, particularly in Marine/Shipping/Ship repair industry.
  • Qualified internal auditor for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Manage the flow and organization of safety management documentation across the company.
  • Conduct document quality checks per company’s procedures in an ISO-certified environment and identify compliance issues.
  • Ensure timely completion of reports and correspondence by functional departments.
  • Monitor HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) programs and prepare status reports and tender documents.
  • Participate in incident investigations, ensuring reports with root cause analysis and lessons learned are uploaded to the company database.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of internal and external Health and Safety Alerts and Incident Management information.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of a positive safety culture within the organization.
  • Engage in internal audits for both office and vessel operations to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Participate in external audits and assist in organizing management reviews.
  • Monitor fleet HSEQ statistics and customer satisfaction, and perform any other duties as required by the HSEQ Manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum Specialist Diploma in HSE related discipline or other relevant Marine discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in HSE particularly in Marine / Shipping / Ship repair industry.
  • Self motivated team player, while being able to work independently.
  • Good knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes, incident investigation techniques and risk management.
  • Qualified internal auditor for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
