This role is a short‑term assignment offered on a fixed‑term basis to provide maternity coverage.
PURPOSE
- The HR consultant operates and integrates a breadth of functional HR disciplines providing meaningful solutions for a particular Business, Function or Country.
- Working closely with Business Leaders, HRBPs, and/or HR Country Leads, HR Consultants develop internally and externally relevant skills (project management, change management, integrative leadership, and consulting skills) while working on the highest value business or country priorities and projects.
- The HR Consultant is a key partner in enabling the delivery of Shell's ambitions through the Energy Transition.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Design, develop and implement specific interventions, solutions or programs in support of the People Agenda for the business or country.
- Define and contract the blend of HR (or other functional) resources required to deliver the interventions.
- Collaborate and engage with various stakeholders - business leaders, HRBPs and other HR partners across Business and/or Functions including JV and NOV environments to jointly achieve project deliverables.
- Manage and co-ordinate delivery of defined interventions – acting as an integrator and leading cross-functional, cross-country and virtual team members where needed.
- Manage cost-effective and timely local delivery of critical business change initiatives, including but not limited to:
- Organizational redesign and implementation including liaison with Country HR ER/IR and HR Operations specialists.
- Change and Engage strategy and activities to support successful implementation of change/ transformation.
- Initiatives resulting from insights from diagnostics, organizational health reviews and effectiveness, as well as leadership effectiveness that will drive higher levels of business performance and reflect our leadership framework.
- People capability projects to promote a learner’s mindset and support upskill/ reskill to meet changing business needs and support development.
- Implementation of specific business or country DE&I initiatives as well as talent management.
- As with all roles in HR in Singapore, a proportion of this role’s time will be allocated to cross-community HR projects for broadening, exposure and development purposes.

Reports to HR Lead Consultant.
HR Consultants are a flexible resource pool. As such dimensions may not be fixed. Experience level will drive where HR Consultants are deployed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to rapidly acquire understanding of the business or function context for which intervention is being managed – including business value drivers and cost levers.
- Effective consulting skills - diagnosis, inquiry, contracting and facilitation – to accurately scope the required work, assess resources required, contract the right team and facilitate defined interventions.
- Ability to engage and influence senior business, function or country stakeholders, and deliver through others.
- Ability to integrate including to coach cross-functional teams beyond formal line of authority.
- Strong project management capability – familiar with and able to selectively deploy a range of project management tools and methodologies.
- Effective use of data and trend analysis to determine root cause and to define and track relevant business outcomes.
