Job summary

Key roles and responsibilities
  • Manages the Site project portfolio, consolidating as ONE project portfolio at site (CAPEX+OPEX), gathering inputs from all functions (MSAT, Engineering, HSE, Quality, OpEX, Digital…)

  • Provides support to site SMEs leading site projects and is responsible for monitoring / reporting on the project portfolio (incl. progress, actions, costs, risks)

  • Ensure data quality in Shine, ensure monitoring & reporting, conduct end user training and ensure use of PM best practices

  • Establish a strong link with site and global engineering in context of project portfolio management and stage gate governance

  • Supports link of Site Project portfolio with GBU/ M&S portfolio process, including relevant governance & preparation of gate reviews in close collaboration with engineering

  • By collecting, collating and analyzing the relevant data he/she enables the project prioritization process, whatever the nature of project. In this role, the Head of Project Portfolio management will need to review and challenge project / function owners where needed.

  • Ensure resource capacity and availability for all functions impacted by site projects roadmap

  • Coordinates / collates risk management activities and information associated with the site project portfolio as input for overall site risk profile and thereby supports global integrated risk management process.

  • Optional (if no dedicated site risk officer and Head of PPM would take the role): lead site risk program and coordinate Site risk profile with other functions (incl integration of Quality risks)

  • Contributes to Site StratPlan, Budget and Site Master Plan processes

  • Contributes to talent development and adaptation of skills and capabilities to the portfolio needs developing project management, strategic thinking and business acumen

  • Fosters sharing and application of best practices and digital solutions to the job scope, creating maximum transparency and access whenever possible

Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of industrial strategy and project and portfolio management

  • Exposure to Production, Supply Chain, Chemical engineering, Process Technology, Project Investment, Finance, Quality and Regulatory requirements, with minimum 5 years of total industry experience.

  • Scientific bachelor degree preferably in chemical, biochemical or pharmaceutical engineering or business / finance degree

  • Strong leadership skills and experience (minimum 5 years) with proven track record in building and leading cross-functional teams

  • Experience with pre- and post-launch activities (tech-transfer, continuous process verification, inspection readiness, cGMP knowledge, HA regulations, quality systems) preferred

  • Experience in portfolio and project management, with ability to drive prioritization decisions

  • Direct production operations experience preferred (Operations)

  • Experience and agility on digital tool supporting decision making
