About Tonik

Tonik is Southeast Asia’s first central bank–licensed digital-only bank. We are the top credit-led digital bank in the Philippines, with proven unit economics and a clear, well‑funded near‑term path to breakeven. Since launch in 2021, we’ve raised US$150M+, scaled to 2M+ users, and were the first company in the Philippines to be selected into the Tokyo Stock Exchange "Asian Startup" pre‑IPO program. We’re accelerating our growth and doubling down on our vision to become the leading credit inclusion lender in the Philippines—and beyond.

Why Tonik
  • Industry‑leading performance: ~US$50M ARR, 100%+ CAGR, unit‑level lending RAROC 25%+, and positive contribution margin. We outperform local peers on all core banking metrics (ARPU, NIM, LDR, RAROC).
  • Backers: Mizuho Bank, Insignia Ventures, Peak XV, Point72, iGlobal, and others.
  • Team & culture: 1,600+ across SG/PH/India; hybrid, fast‑moving, values that include Street Smart and Sense of Humour.
  • Experienced leadership: You’ll partner closely with a CEO who has 10+ years in private equity and 20+ years building and fundraising for fintech's globally, with a strong track record of closing growth rounds and successful exits
Role Summary

Own Tonik’s capital markets narrative and run a banker‑grade process across Fundraising (~50%), Investor Relations (~30%), and Corporate Development (~20%)—day‑to‑day partner to the CEO/CFO, close coordination with the board and current investors.

Fundraising (~50%)
  • Lead equity raises (Series C and beyond) to support regulatory capital (CAR) for balance‑sheet growth post‑breakeven.
  • Own end‑to‑end materials (short‑form IC memo + deck), business plan financial model, DD data room, outreach, pipeline management, and close.
  • Build a sharp POV on public/private comps, SEA credit trends, and macro drivers of valuation; keep a targeted “warm” pipeline.
  • Prepare long‑term IPO readiness (disclosure cadence, calendar, gap assessment).
  • Support CFO and Group Head of Legal on all documentation needed throughout the Fundraising process.
Investor Relations (~30%)
  • Keep investors and the board aligned with a monthly metrics pack (loans & mix, RAROC/COR, CAR, cash runway).
  • Maintain the FAQ, refresh public/private comps and valuation guardrails quarterly, and run the IR calendar.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries.
  • Responsible for maintaining digital due diligence rooms.
  • Ownership of the Excel CapTables.
Corporate Development (~20%)
  • Map adjacencies in PH and the region; maintain a target list with key notes (strategic fit, scale, economics, integration, regulatory considerations).
  • Lead sourcing/evaluation and all transactional dynamics; execute diligence and integration planning with CEO/CFO and functional leads.
What great looks like
  • 5–8 years in IB/PE/growth equity (FIG/TMT) with deal execution and investor‑facing exposure.
  • Fintech/digital‑banking familiarity; strong grasp of credit economics and prudential constraints (CAR).
  • Writes and builds PowerPoint like a sell‑side VP: structured, sourced, concise.
  • Process athlete builds a funnel → runs weekly cadence → closes.
Nice to have
  • Strategic finance / IR / corporate dev experience in a Series B+ tech/fintech.
  • Relationships with regional growth/PE funds; Japan investor familiarity/language a plus.
  • ECM/IPO exposure.

To manage Tonik’s fundraising and investor narrative, you need to thrive on ownership, cadence‑driven execution, and relentless collaboration. You need a track record in capital markets, fundraising, investor relations, and corporate development, with a focus on investor alignment.

Competitive base and performance‑based incentives, including a significant equity package for the right candidate.
