Our client, a leading financial services firm is looking to hire an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to lead and manage all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and operations for a leading investment management platform. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and strong alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and oversee long‑term financial strategies aligned with corporate goals to support sustainable growth and profitability.
- Financial Analysis & Strategic Projects
- Perform in‑depth financial analysis and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support informed decision‑making.
- Lead or contribute to finance workstreams across strategic projects and initiatives.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor performance against plan, prepare forecasts, and recommend corrective actions to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations including accounting, financial reporting, expense management, contract management, sourcing, procurement, and payments.
- Review monthly and quarterly financial reports from AMCs.
- Provide guidance on expense management, adherence to internal governance frameworks and group policies, and budget preparation.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial governance standards, internal control frameworks (ICFR), and group finance policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture and continuous professional development.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across group finance functions (including financial solutions, tax, treasury, integrated reporting), investments, compliance and risk, legal, and governance teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in senior financial leadership roles within a regulated asset management environment or equivalent (insurance AMC experience is an advantage).
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage, influence, and present effectively to senior stakeholders, C‑suite executives, and Board‑level audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (Master’s degree or Chartered/Certified Accountant qualification preferred).
- Deep knowledge of MAS regulations and the capital markets industry, with exposure to derivatives and private markets considered a plus.
