We are seeking an accomplished Head of Engineering to lead the design and development of road tankers for fuel, bulk, and municipal applications. This is a hands‑on leadership role—you will head the engineering department while actively contributing to design work. The ideal candidate combines modern leadership skills with deep technical expertise and regulatory knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the engineering department, setting technical direction and mentoring a team of engineers.
  • Design and develop tanker systems (fuel, LPG, LNG, water, waste) using CAD and FEA tools.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations (SCDF, NEA, LTA, Road Traffic Act) and international standards including ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road).
  • Complete and validate engineering calculations for safety‑critical systems, driveline configurations, and structural integrity to ensure compliance with legislation and performance standards.
  • Oversee certification processes, technical documentation, and liaison with regulatory authorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and safety in tanker design and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and commercial teams to align engineering solutions with business objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (PEB‑approved qualification).
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer status (PEB or equivalent) highly desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 4 years in road tanker design.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore legislation for hazardous goods transport and tanker systems, plus familiarity with ADR requirements for fuel carriage.
  • Ability to perform and validate complex engineering calculations for safety systems, driveline design, and compliance verification.
  • Proficiency in CAD/FEA tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and piping/pressure vessel design.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
