Overview

Salary: $15,000 - $20,000 + AWS + Bonus. Working days: 5 days. Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Location: ANSON ROAD SPRINGLEAF TOWER, MRT nearby are Tanjong Pagar or Shenton Way.

The company is a group that focuses on trading and distributing steel-related products. They are also involved in developing properties, such as service apartments. They are looking for a legal expert to help build a legal team. There will be a 105-minute pre-interview assessment for shortlisted candidates before the face-to-face interview.

Requirements

• Degree in law (LLB) and called to the Singapore bar.
• Min 8-12 years of experience in either a law firm or as a legal counsel, preferably experience in trading & distribution, property development, and construction-related work.
• Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, knowledge of and experience with litigation.
• Able to travel to Malaysia (Penang, Johor, KL) with Managing Director for M&A assignments.

Job Scopes

• Position holder provides legal advice and guidance regarding all aspects of Singapore law and other applicable laws, regulations, and company rules.
• Legal advisory work: advising the group’s business departments and managing directors of affiliates, traders, in drafting legal opinions, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, developing and updating templates and standard terms & conditions for all businesses in Singapore.
• M&A: leading legal support for business development activities (establishment of new JVs, divestments, acquisitions of shares or assets), coordinating with business, finance and tax teams, and ensuring drafting and reviewing of corporate transactions, preparing legal notes, and coordinating with risk/compliance, tax and finance teams for a comprehensive legal and compliance opinion.
• Corporate Secretarial: overseeing or supervising incorporation of companies, corporate secretarial matters, business registrations, renewals, and board/shareholder meeting formalities to ensure compliance with applicable corporate law.
• Regulatory: drafting, reviewing and evaluating internal policies.
