Overview of Role
To take responsibility for and run transactions on a day-to-day basis. Oversee the performance of junior staff within the Global Advisory team and provide a source of advice and education. Pro- active in development of marketing ideas.
Responsibilities
- Contribute materially to the development of relationships/ideas which will generate fee income
- Manage the transaction process
- Foster a pro- active approach to marketing
- Maintain idea generation momentum with targets and appropriate updates/feedback
- Support proper priority to flagship targets
- Consult with Director on development of pitch book content
- Contribute to realisation of “business plan” for Global Advisory
- Create strategies and tactics to build, develop and improve client relationships
- Ensure the necessary formal and informal lines of communication are in place
- Maintain frequent dialogue with client at appropriate level
- Help to formulate and communicate sound advice to clients
- Ensure other Rothschild & Co offices are appropriately involved
Education and Qualifications
- University graduate
- ACA (or equivalent) qualified: first time passes (distinct advantage, not essential)
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- 6-7 years’ experience in Corporate Finance in an IB, or M&A and capital markets related experience in international accounting firm or law firm
- Expert in valuation techniques
- Good Presentation skills
- Developing good network of contacts and relationships with/within institutions, companies, professional firms and competitors across Asia
- Significant transaction experience across a wide range of types of deals
- Fluent English and any Asian dialect is a plus
