Job description
JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for formulating and promoting management strategies in NX based on marketing across the entire Asia region, covering both East Asia and Southeast Asia. In particular, the primary mission is to accurately capture the opportunities arising from the “China Plus One” shift in supply chains, driven by geopolitical risks and the slowdown of the Chinese economy, and to link these opportunities to the growth strategy of NX Group.

In formulating and promoting management strategies, a deep understanding of our core business in logistics is essential, particularly experience in strategy development for the forwarding business, which is anetwork-based operation, as well as extensive knowledge of its operational processes. In addition, experience in marketing and analysis, as well as knowledge related to the target key industries—particularly products, manufacturers, and sales companies in the semiconductor, technology, and mobility sectors—are also essential.

In promoting these initiatives, it is essential to lead and coordinate among the countries in the East Asia region, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea, as well as the ASEAN nations, our Group headquarters, and Japan, which is our mother market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Formulation & Deployment

  • Formulate medium-term and annual plans for the Sales, Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Logistics business based on the overarching Pan-Asia Strategy policy, create execution roadmaps and support to set targets.

Progress Management of Various Initiatives and PDCA

  • Progress management for sales projects across the Asia Region including China, Asean, and Japan.
  • Strengthening the air forwarding business in the Pan-Asia region and managing the progress of various initiatives related to volume expansion.
  • Strengthening the ocean forwarding business in the Pan-Asia region and managing the progress of various initiatives related to volume expansion.
  • Progress management of initiatives for platform development and business expansion based on industrial expertise related to warehouse and distribution operations.

Administrative duties related to the Pan-Asia strategy, etc.

  • Organization and management of meetings for strategy execution, progress monitoring and reporting to senior management.
  • Planning for talent deployment and personnel exchanges to leverage talent in the Asia region.
  • Planning and management related to the formalization and sharing of business knowledge.
  • Marketing, research, and analysis related to logistics businesses.
  • Promoting communication with relevant regions including India, Americas, and Europe and planning projects to advance the Pan-Asian strategy
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field.
  • Minimum 20 years’ experience in freight forwarding / multimodal sales or account management.
  • Experience in regional or global marketing and sales promotion.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans.
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese language with Japanese account clients and Japan Headquarters.
