This hands‑on General Manager role owns financial performance, customer experience, growth, and culture, supported by the coaching leadership team overseeing coach recruitment and training.

THE ROLE

This is a senior on‑site leadership role with full P&L accountability.

You are responsible for revenue, costs, profitability, customer experience, operational performance, and long‑term sustainability of the swim school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full responsibility for revenue, costs, budgets, forecasts, and profitability
• Optimise enrolments, pricing, staffing, and class utilisation
• Lead customer experience and retention
• Lead a customer service team of 4‑6 people
• Demonstrated experience managing teams
• Lead a marketing manager and agency
• Recruit and manage non‑coaching staff
• Oversee operations, safety, compliance, and facilities
• Drive continuous improvement and support expansion

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:

• Reports to the Managing Director / Owner
• Collaborates closely with: Coaching & People Resources Managers, Facilities team

External:

• Families and swimmers
• Community and event partners
• Vendors and suppliers
• Potential strategic partners to support revenue growth

AUSTRALIAN SWIMMING EXPERIENCE (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

• Experience in Australian-style swim schools or programmes
• Strong understanding of Australian learn‑to‑swim culture and parent expectations

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

• Salary up to SGD 9,000 per month (approx. AUD 120k p.a.) + bonus
• Two weeks accommodation provided
