Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking a Gemmologist & Production Manager. The role involves providing expert advice, gem identification, procurement, and coordination for new product development. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in the retail luxury sector, preferably in jewellery, and possess a gemmologist certification. Attractive compensation includes a starting salary range of $4500 to $7000, plus commission and bonuses contingent upon company performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years working experience in the retail luxury industry, preferable in a jewellery field.
• Certified Gemmologist (GIA, FGA or other relevant certification) will be an added advantage.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced gemological instruments and techniques to accurately identify and grade gemstones.
• Provide expert advice to clients on gemstone selection, care, and investment.
• Coordinate with designers and workshop on new product development.

Job description

Gemmologist & Production Manager

Working Days: 5.5 days
Working Timing: 9-6pm (Mon to Fri) and 9am to 1pm Saturday (by appointment), Sunday & PH is off.
Working Location: Orchard Road
Starting Salary: $4500 to $7000 + Sales commission sharing + AWS + bonus depends on company performance

Gem Identification and Grading

Utilize advanced gemological instruments and techniques to accurately identify and grade gemstones, including diamonds, colored gemstones and pearls.

Client Consultation

Provide expert advice to clients on gemstone selection, care and investment.

Assist in the selection of gemstone for jewelry design and creation.

Procurement

Sourcing and procurement of gemstones.

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate records of gemstone inventory.

Monitor gemstone markets trends and advise on potential investments.

Production

Coordinate with designers and workshop on new product development.
