This role is based in Singapore and covers customers and partners across Asia Pacific.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will:

Technical Presales & AI Solution Architecture:

• Lead technical discovery with customers to understand their business challenges, data environment, infrastructure landscape, and operational workflows.

• Architect end-to-end multimodal agentic AI solutions involving:

  • LLMs, Vision models, Speech models

  • RAG pipelines

  • Realtime perception–decision–action loops

  • Agent frameworks, planning, tool-use, and orchestration

  • Integration with enterprise APIs, databases, security systems, VMS, IoT, MDM, or existing apps

• Conduct PoCs, benchmarks, and A/B evaluations, producing clear documentation on metrics, model performance, constraints, and ROI.

ML/GenAI Engineering, Model Customization & Fine-Tuning:

• Work closely with customer data teams to gather, clean, and preprocess multimodal datasets (text, images, audio, video, sensor data).

• Build and optimize:

  • Custom LLM prompts & prompt-chains

  • Fine-tuned LLM/vision models

  • Domain-specific embedding models

  • Custom scorers, loss functions, and evaluation metrics

• Advise customers on LLMOps best practices, including lifecycle management, scalable APIs, agent reliability, function-calling strategies, and safety guardrails.

Agentic AI & Multimodal Capabilities Evangelism:

• Demonstrate how Reka’s multimodal models can:

  • Interpret CCTV, documents, screens, emails, speech, logs

  • Combine perception with reasoning + action

  • Integrate with enterprise tools to perform tasks autonomously

• Help customers understand advanced concepts such as:

  • Tool-use and planning

  • Multi-agent workflows

  • Knowledge grounding and retrieval

  • Chain-of-thought vs distilled reasoning

  • Observability and telemetry for AI agents

Customer Enablement, Workshops & Technical Training:

• Design and run workshops for audiences ranging from business leaders to data scientists.

• Train customers on:

  • AI fundamentals

  • Multimodal models

  • Deployment patterns (on-prem, cloud, hybrid, air-gapped)

  • Reka platform usage, APIs, SDKs, and agent creation

• Produce sample notebooks, reference architectures, code snippets, reusable templates, and best-practice guidelines.

Internal Collaboration & Product Feedback:

• Work with product, engineering, and research teams to influence the roadmap based on customer needs.

• Contribute internal prototypes, demos, agent frameworks, or tools that improve presales velocity.

• Assist in competitive analysis (vs OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, AWS, Mistral, local APAC AI vendors).

Technical Expertise

• 3–6+ years hands‑on experience in AI/ML engineering, presales, solution architecture, or applied ML roles.

• Strong proficiency in:

  • Python

  • ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow/JAX)

  • LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy, OpenAI/Anthropic/Mistral APIs)

  • Model serving (FastAPI, Triton, Ray, vLLM, Ollama, MLFlow)

• Solid grounding in:

  • Machine learning fundamentals

  • Vision models (object detection, action recognition, OCR, VLMs)

  • Speech-to-text/voice models

  • Multimodal fusion techniques

  • Distributed training & inference optimization

Deployment / Architecture Knowledge

• Familiar with enterprise infrastructure:

  • Kubernetes, Docker, API gateways

  • Data lake / warehouse technologies

  • Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)

  • On‑prem GPU servers (NVIDIA, HPE, Supermicro, Dell)

• Understanding of ML security, compliance & governance:

  • RBAC, audit logs, data residency

  • Pre/Post‑production model monitoring

  • Drift detection, bias, safety guardrails

  • Privacy‑preserving ML, PII redaction, access control

AI Engineering & Agentic Workflow Understanding

• Experience with:

  • RAG pipelines (vector DBs, embedding tuning, hybrid search)

  • Multi‑agent systems or agent tool‑use

  • Function calling, workflow orchestration

  • LLMOps / ModelOps best practices

• Knowledge of GenAI fine‑tuning techniques:

  • SFT, LoRA, QLoRA, DPO

  • Vision model tuning

  • Dataset curation & augmentation
