Job summary

A maritime management company located in Singapore is seeking a Technical department assistant to ensure smooth operations of vessels. Responsibilities include supporting superintendents, managing vessel data, conducting safety inspections, and preparing compliance reports. Job Description

Key Objective:

Assisting with daily Technical department tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of vessels, as well as managing the collection, verification, and submission of carbon emission data in compliance with international maritime regulations.

Main Responsibility
  1. Provide crucial support to our Technical and Marine Superintendents, ensuring smooth day-to-day administration, impeccable document control, and effective coordination between ship and shore.
  2. Assist in conducting safety inspections and drills related to marine engineering systems, ensuring compliance with international safety standards (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL).
  3. Collect, validate, and manage critical vessel data (e.g., fuel consumption, distance travelled, hours underway, cargo carried).
  4. Prepare and submit accurate and timely compliance reports to relevant authorities (Flag State, Port State, EU Commission) for schemes including IMO DCS and EU MRV.
  5. Track order status, update inventory records, and coordinate delivery logistics to vessels.
  6. Collect, file, and maintain records of vessel reports, maintenance records, oil analysis reports, performance data, etc.
Qualification
  1. Diploma or above.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ working experience, with 1-2 years’ shipping industry experience.
  3. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc).
  4. Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  5. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
