Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain firewall systems to safeguard the organization's network.
• Monitor firewall performance and security events, responding promptly to incidents and threats.
• Implement firewall policies, rules, and access controls in alignment with security best practices.
• Collaborate with network, security, and IT teams to integrate firewall solutions with other security tools.
• Conduct regular firewall audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related issues and network connectivity problems.
• Stay updated on the latest firewall technologies, threats, and industry trends.
• Document firewall configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Firewall Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of firewall platforms such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Check Point, or similar.
• Experience with VPN technologies, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network protocols.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent are a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
