A leading hotel in Singapore is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead the finance team. The ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant with strong analytical and leadership skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include statutory reporting, budget management, and liaison with auditors. Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.

Job description
Financial Management and Reporting, Treasury, Taxation and Internal Control System
  • Preparation of Statutory Financial and Management Reporting.
  • Maintain complete and supported accounting records consistent with Uniform Systems of Accounts and International Accounting Standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local authorities, relevant contractual obligations, reporting requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Review and approve monthly journals, balance sheet and profit & loss statement, audit schedules and bank reconciliation.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting, assist all areas as part of the hotel's executive management team.
  • Capex Budgeting and Approval; Oversee IT in terms of Capex and Opex spent.
  • Payroll Management including casual labour and overtime.
  • Financial/Cost Management and Treasury Management.
  • Taxation Planning and Reporting including GST review.
  • Review and ensure monthly compliance checklist is fully adhered to.
  • Liaison with internal and external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary and government agencies.
  • Safeguard contracts, licenses, insurance policies, legal and financial documents.
Job Requirements
