Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead its accounting team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for financial management reporting, day-to-day accounting operations, and conducting financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accountancy or equivalent, at least 5 years of working experience with supervisory roles, and be bilingual in English and Chinese. This role offers a 5-day work week and is located in Tuas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in reviewing and responding to changes.
  • Savvy in calculations and analyses of financial metrics.

Job Description
  • Lead an accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial management reporting.
  • Be responsible for the financial systems of the Company, the accounting processes, monthly and yearly closing processes, planning process and asset management.
  • Review and control day to day accounting operations: General Ledger, AP, AR, inventory control, project costing, fixed assets, cash management etc.
  • Be in charge of Group consolidation and Financial Reporting including Taxation & Compliances.
  • Conduct due diligence for mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures with financial models and analysis.
  • Report to the Management with timely and accurate financial information.
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and simulations to support business decisions.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA).
  • Have experience in reviewing and responding to changes.
  • Be able to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced service environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role or audit experience and a history of successful progressive finance roles.
  • Experience in calculation and analysis of profit margins, spending, capital investment, forecasts and budgets.
  • Savvy in SAAS accounting software like Xero, Quickbooks online etc.
  • Proven ability to understand key financial and business variables in a complex and changing commercial environment.
  • Bilingual in English & Chinese so as to handle English & Chinese speaking clients.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • 5 days work week.
  • Work location: Tuas.
