Responsibilities
  • Manage receiving, storage and issuance of equipment, engineering and facility-related materials, consumables, PPE, tools, and critical spares etc.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels using a digital inventory management system or manual logs.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and flag low stock or expired items.
  • Coordinate with procurement staff and vendors to ensure timely replenishment of critical items.
  • Support daily facility inspections, troubleshooting and first-level fault diagnosis and reporting.
  • Monitor and document key readings from engineering systems (e.g. temperature, pressure, flow rates, filter differential pressures).
  • Support the WHS Officer in implementing safety controls during maintenance or contractor works, including Permit-to-Work (PTW) and lockout/tag-out procedures.
  • Ensure work zones are kept in safe condition and assist with safety drills, inspections, and audits.
  • Report near-misses or safety concerns and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist in setup and testing of new equipment or infrastructure.
  • Maintain facility-related logs and records, including maintenance checklists, PTW forms, and service reports.
  • Escort contractors and vendors during facility works and ensure compliance with site safety rules.
  • Perform minor repairs, fixture replacements or workspace setups as needed.
  • Respond to facility fault reports (e.g. power trip, HVAC issue, temperature alarm).
  • Assist in general facility housekeeping, waste segregation logistics and pest control coordination etc.
Requirements
  • Nitec (National ITE Certificate), Higher Nitec, and Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities or Building Services Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in technical facility operations.
  • Experience in inventory or store management is highly preferred.
  • Able to understand basic engineering skill, building services (M&E), basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Able to use or learn basic inventory software/tools (e.g. Excel, barcoding, store systems).
  • A strong sense of safety, organization and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
