Job description
Overview

This role is responsible for the facilities management of workplace (research and office), aligned with organisation's strategic goals in research. Oversee building maintenance, ensure an optimal and sustainable environment for world-class scientific research, and implement maintenance engineering initiatives to achieve higher reliability, maintainability, and serviceability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts for facilities maintenance and conduct regular reviews for smooth administration.
  • Prepare tender documents for contractual, project, and ad-hoc repair works.
  • Troubleshoot building services and facilities issues.
  • Lead green practices and promote sustainability in building operations and maintenance.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and external parties (landlord, contractors, suppliers) to keep facilities relevant and vibrant.
  • Oversee daily operations, update maintenance documents, and analyze operational trends.
  • Provide facility management and administrative support to research institutes.
  • Implement and manage projects related to operational processes and system enhancements.
  • Undertake special assignments or projects, ensuring completion within stipulated timeframes and budgets.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum Degree in Project & Facilities Management or equivalent.
  • Relevant work experience is an advantage.
  • Self-driven, meticulous, and able to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Confident communicator at all levels, with creative and strategic thinking abilities.
