Job Responsibilities
- Follow GMP and safety protocols at all times including proper gowning, hygiene and documentation practices
- Execute cleaning processes in regulated areas in accordance with customers' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while strictly adhering to environmental health and safety guidelines
- Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning of regulated and non-regulated areas, including walls, floors, doors, drains, windows, glassware, ceilings, and other general surface areas in accordance with customer cleanliness standards
- Removal of general and hazardous waste in accordance with customer controls and procedures
- Maintain accurate cleaning logs, checklists, and other documentation for audit purposes
- Dispatch clean, washed cleanroom garments and collect soiled garments at the changing room
- Complete all required customer and safety training courses as assigned
- Report any maintenance issues, pest sightings, or contamination risks immediately to the supervisor
- Cooperate with teammates and follow any tasks assigned by the supervisor
- Participate and contribute to the team’s continuous improvement program
- Support internal and external audits or inspections as required
Working Location and Hours
Working Location: 8 Tuas Bay Lane
Working hours: 7am – 7pm (including 2 hours work break), 6 day work week including public holidays
Qualifications and Skills
- GMP/Cleanroom cleaning experience is an advantage. However, candidates without experience are also welcome. Training provided.
- Physically fit to perform cleaning tasks (bending, lifting, standing for long periods)
- Must be able to read, speak and write in English
- Manage a team of GMP Cleaners in day shift (GMP cleaners work on a day shift of 7am-7pm, Monday – Sunday)
- Mentor GMP relevant requirements and help team members to comply with test requirements
- Mentor teams to follow strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in regulated pharmaceutical environments by managing staff, schedules, equipment, and materials, focusing heavily on documentation (SOPs, logs) for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, requiring strong leadership, training skills, and adherence to stringent standards like FDA
- Given opportunity to attend educational course Compliance & SOP Enforcement: Ensure all cleaning activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Manpower Management: Plan schedules and deploy specialized cleaning teams, often managing shift rotations (including 12-hour shifts)
- Documentation: Review and maintain daily cleaning logs, ensuring they are accurate and complete for regulatory audits.
- Inventory & Equipment: Manage stocks of specialized cleaning chemicals and ensure equipment is maintained to cleanroom standards.
- Training: Conduct training on gowning procedures, chemical safety, and site-specific safety protocols.
- Incident Management: Handle customer complaints, address non-conformities, and implement corrective actions.
- Learn how to crisis manage and resolve customer issues: respond to the customer work calls promptly and make the necessary arrangements to support customer excursions/concerns.
Essential Skills Needed
- Experience in GMP/Pharma/Biotech cleaning
- Strong knowledge of GMP, safety regulations, and cleaning chemicals/equipment
- Leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work shifts, including 12-hour shifts
Robot Handling Training
- On job training will be provided by Pro-Pack materials on handling of autonomous cleaning robots to be used with Cleaning contracts including software upgrade, mapping techniques and spare part changes
- Ensure robot is ready for use daily with team for both day and night
- Ensure robot is cleaned and maintained daily for operational readiness at the start of each shift
- Report issues needed for Robot maintenance/ repair to OE
