Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced ERP Strategy Consultantfor a client in the industrial services sector. This role will assess the effectiveness of the client's current ERP systems (including Epicor, Navision, Dynamic 360), make recommendation on ERP vendors, and make recommendations for the ERP strategy and execution roadmap for the client.
The ideal candidate is a former CIO/CTO or senior IT leader with deep expertise in ERP vendor selection, implementation, and optimization within the industrial services, energy, or B2B manufacturing sectors.
Key Objectives
  • Assess whether current ERP systems are fully aligned with business and operational needs.
  • Evaluate the extent to which existing ERP capabilities are being effectively utilized.
  • Recommend a clear ERP strategy, including whether to consolidate platforms and a high-level execution roadmap.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of ERP capabilities and usage across multiple businesses.
  • Identify areas of underutilization, over-customization, and misalignment with operational requirements.
  • Compare current ERP platforms with industry best practices and organizational needs.
  • Provide weekly progress updates, interim deliverables, and a final recommendation report.
  • Advise on change management considerations and future ERP governance.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of IT leadership experience, ideally as CIO, CTO, or equivalent enterprise systems leader.
  • Proven track record of
    ERP evaluation, selection, and implementation
    (Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable systems).
  • Industry expertise in
    industrial services, manufacturing, energy, EPC, or specialty chemicals
    preferred.
  • Strong understanding of how ERP systems support both operational and financial processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to advise at the
    C-suite level.
