Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a candidate for an engineering role focused on production support, compliance with quality standards, and effective communication. The applicant should have a strong engineering background, skills in mechanical assembly, and be familiar with electronic circuitry. This position involves conducting 5S activities, maintaining tool storage, and assisting engineers on production lines.

Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct 5S activity and ensure compliances
  • Maintain good storage of tools / material and WIP
  • Good habit in documentation, familiar with MS Office, keeping records and update tracker / log / WhatsApp to keep engineers and related partners well informed
  • Basic knowledge of server hardware, Unix terminal access and able to handle failure analysis (FA)
  • Support EMR test, monitor test status closely and trigger related parties for necessary actions
  • Handle re-configurations in accordance to customer’s specification and performing software loading
  • Able to identify various error codes for individual failed server given by the diagnostic program and rework fail units per training and/or direction from engineers and update the status
  • Assists engineers for pilot run orders and resolve product related issues
  • Daily updates of the orders on the line and keeping the line well maintained and organized. Generating daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Feedback to production for WMS issues and work on FID / WMS Kaizen & CR projects
  • Raise & Update Tech Direct ticket / email trigger within agreed time
  • Support audit, comply to company rules & regulations
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned in accordance to the business needs
Requirements
  • Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems and principals of operation.
  • Strong knowledge of the setup, operation, and maintenance of specific equipment sets used in manufacturing processes
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and fabrication procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry and testing and debugging procedures.Knowledge of computer programming and ability to use applications specific to this position (such as C++).
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications, schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools required for test assembly.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and Windows applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers
