A prominent engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a qualified engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with project consultants and stakeholders, oversee maintenance operations, and enforce safety standards. The role requires a degree in engineering and strong analytical skills, with at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with tools like Navisworks are beneficial. Opportunities for site visits and overseas travel for acceptance tests are included.
Project Responsibilities:
· To work with project consultants and key stakeholders, such as other government agencies, on the design of the various facilities and ensure the following: construction, erection and installations in accordance with design specifications and complying with statutory requirement.
· To participate in the testing, commissioning of mechanical, process, or electrical, instrument, control and automation equipment/systems.
· To attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) at local and overseas factories to witness and verify quality and performance of major equipment/systems.
Technical responsibilities in the operations and maintenance
a. To lead a team of technical supervisors and specialists and coordinate maintenance work between contractors and maintenance sections to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient operations.
b. To implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for the facility's electrical and control equipment such as turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, low tension and high tension equipment, distributed control system and field instruments.
c. To administer contracts for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, EICA or building services equipment
d. To enforce permit-to-work system and safe work culture including supervising contractors’ work for quality and safety
e. To formulate and prepare standard operating and safety procedures, equipment testing/ changeover programmes
f. To work closely with the management to implement initiatives on safety and continuous improvement to enhance the safety culture and standards within the plant, as well as drive projects to achieve operational excellence.
